The High Speed Hitters fortify their setter position for the 2024 PVL season, picking up Kim Fajardo from the disbanded F2 Logistics, the team announced Friday.
Fajardo, easily one of the more decorated setters in the Philippines, with a winning career from prep to semi-pro joins Rhea Dimaculangan at setter for PLDT, as the High Speed Hitters look to get their PVL breakthrough.
The High Speed Hitters had a solid 2023 season, but never truly got off the hump, finishing fourth in the 1st All-Filipino Conference, and 5th in both the Invitational and 2nd All-Filipino Conferences.
Enter Fajardo, who looks for a resurgence with a fresh start at PLDT.
The High Speed Hitters were among the first to tease moves late last year, announcing the departure of three players in setter Anj Legacion, opposite spiker Mich Morente, and outside hitter Mean Mendrez.
